"The Salona 44's elegant design blends top notch funcionality
with refined form"

Salona 44

The Salona 44 bumps technology, design, comfort and reliability to the next level, and its stunning looks make every owner proud. Crew comfort and safety are ensured by its ergonomically designed layouts. These functionally elegant spaces are tailor-made for pleasant family cruising or the highest levels of performance on IRC, ORC and PHRF class regattas.

Cockpit

The cockpit area is wide and open thanks to the freestanding steering wheels and the clever location of the main traveler. This obstacle-free cockpit features a transom bench that can easily convert from open to closed or be used as a boarding bridge. Additionally, there are four latches — two under the seats and two under the wheels — one of which is dedicated for life raft storage.

Construction and Safety

The hull and deck laminates on the S44 are constructed using the latest vacuum infusion construction method (IBC) combined with triaxial-oriented fiberglass fabric. Athletic elegance and innovation come together in the high-tech materials that give the boat its lighter, stronger hull. For further integrity assurance, the keel and rig system are bonded to a structural stainless steel grid that spreads the load evenly over a wide area. This innovative grid construction can provide skippers with the confidence to take the S44 across any ocean without hesitation.

Interior

Everything’s bigger in the Salona 44 interior — from the larger-than-average refrigerator, to the sizable heads and considerable seating arrangements that enable the entire crew to gather in one spot. The L-shaped galley port side provides ample storage and work surfaces with strategically placed grab rails, providing the perfect environment to keep the crew well provisioned even in open waters.

Performance and Handling

The S44 can easily be sailed short-handed, ideal for family cruising. Special attention has been given to the development of the twin-steering wheel system, which when combined with the location of the main traveler truly simplifies sailing. The overall feel of the boat is light and airy, and the living quarters are roomy, comfortable and stylish, so you can enjoy whatever kind of sailing you wish.

“The new 44 not only looks sleeker and more powerful when viewed from the water, but her stunning good looks do little to disguise a performance akin to many of the outright racing class yachts that regularly hog the podium at many of the most popular regattas”

Cabin Layout

The S44 comes in two layouts: three or four private staterooms, both of which come with two heads with showers. Both the three- and four-cabin boats offer full standing height and king-size beds, as well as generously sized wardrobes and storage facilities. With a list of options that is virtually endless, this boat is truly a dream.

"The Salona 44 stands out from the crowd for several reasons: price, workmanship, attention to detail in design and construction, and a willingness by the yard to accommodate buyers"
